At Carolina Prime Catering & Events we believe that great food brings people together — and that’s exactly what we aim to do at every event we serve.

My name is Jason Locklear, and my journey with food began over 20 years ago. From my early days waiting tables to graduating from culinary school in New York, the kitchen has always felt like home. I worked my way from the front of the house to the back, eventually owning a small restaurant in the Outer Banks that I proudly ran for four years.

After selling the restaurant in January, I knew it was time for the next chapter — launching a catering service built around quality, flavor, and Southern hospitality. Inspired by mentors and friends in the industry, and with a renewed passion for creating memorable meals, Carolina Prime Catering was born.

Our specialty? Bold BBQ, classic steakhouse favorites, and timeless comfort foods — done right, with attention to detail and consistent quality. Whether you’re planning a corporate gathering, private celebration, or a wedding, our goal is simple: serve great food that people remember.
